Why we do not publish prices on the website

Crazy Simple Press·Founder

The price is not on the site. That is a deliberate choice. Here is the reason, stated plainly, without the soft language most publishers use to avoid saying it.

The reason is not that we are hiding something

Three tiers exist: Self-Serve, Done-With-You, and Done-For-You. Each tier includes a different combination of editorial involvement, production handling, launch operations, and team access. The right tier depends on where you are in your draft, the size of your audience, the business outcome you need the book to produce, and the timeline you are working against.

A price without context produces the wrong decision. You read a number. The number is higher than you expected. You close the tab. You never learn that the Self-Serve tier is structured for the author who has a strong draft and an existing platform and needs the editorial and production infrastructure without the full team build. That author would have been a strong fit. The number stopped the conversation before it started.

What the discovery call covers

The discovery call is not a sales call with one number at the end. The production manager walks through your draft status, your audience profile, your business goals, and your timeline. By the end of the call, you know which tier fits your situation and why, what the tier includes, what it costs, and what the payment structure looks like.

You also know whether the imprint is the right fit at all. Some calls end with a referral to a different resource that serves the situation better. That outcome costs both parties thirty minutes and saves the author from the wrong engagement.

Come prepared. Know your topic. Know your audience numbers. Know the business outcome you need in the next eighteen months. Those three things shape the conversation more than anything else.

What to do before you apply

Read the Author Blueprint if you have not. It lives at the link below and it describes the eleven-step plan, the five locked book pillars, and the three tiers in plain language. The authors who come to the discovery call having read it move through it twice as fast and leave with clearer answers.

If the Blueprint raises questions the site does not answer, send them to help@aaroncuha.com before the call. Specific questions get specific answers. Vague questions get vague answers.

Apply to Become an Author when you are ready for the conversation.

The book inside you has waited long enough.

Submit the application. The editorial team reviews every entry. If your project is a fit, the discovery call goes on the calendar inside seven business days.
